Ed I sure hope your wrong on Montour - that would sting - but not sure what the alternative is -

I think NR has a very good yr - esp with his commitment to being in better shape as I said he has all the tools -

Ed is the first blogger I've seen mention back channel dealing regarding the expansion draft.

I think there will be a lot of wink/nod picks made, followed by trades that favor Vegas.

Mcphee has been around for ages and has a good network. I don't think the draft will be as clear cut as people think.

These things always have back room deals. The big thing for the new team is to get draft picks and young talent (ie not exp draft eligible). They have to build a foundation.

losing montador would be a reasonable price for keeping our defense intact . The teams with too many fowards might want to trade with us but i can't see that happening until all other options are exausted for every team . No team likes being forced to a trade players .

But the new team also has a cap floor it needs to hit. Look for some albatross contracts coming to Vegas too (see Brown or Gaborik).

LV might take a big ticket goalie, but they will definitely use $$ on a scorer and someone to wear the "C"

Manson > Despres. If it's between those two I'm keeping Manson 10/10 times.

Would have to agree. I actually had Manson picked as my breakout player, but backed off since I don't think he's going to score many goals (hope I'm wrong). I think he could turn into a beast on D though. Despres still needs to prove his concussion issues are behind him.

I think we might be using different definitions of scoring.
